A garden in a rural setting for an active family. The terraces are arranged on two levels around a new oak and glass extension in order to retain a large space for children’s play, and are a flexible solution for entertaining small and large groups of friends. The planting is a rich mix of perennials and grasses in a palette of lime green, plum, purple, silver and blue. Scented roses give shrubby presence in the ornamental plantings with blocks of lavender and clipped yew supporting the structural arrangement of the terraces. The garden, highly visible from the new extension, is planted for a long season of interest.
